Snow Shoveling

Santa brought Grace a snow shovel for Christmas and we finally had a good day to try it out. She cried out, "This is fun" while she shoveled the snow from the grass.



She didn't mind one bit that the hat was in her eyes.

She really did enjoy helping Daddy shovel, but didn't quite understand how to be really helpful.

Gray Comes to Visit

I was pretty excited when Amy took me up on my offer for Gray to come stay with us after Christmas. He came Sunday night and stayed until Tuesday. I was surprised at how little attention Grace and Gray needed from me and how well they played together. It was lots of fun and I know Grace enjoyed playing with Gray. On Wendsday I could tell Grace missed Gray when she repeatedly asked throughout the day what he was doing.

Monday was a very busy day. We started the day with some drawing.



Then we played with Grace's new Play-Doh.



Gray has a big head. Grace's new helmet is too small for his head.



Tuesday morning started out with more art.



Followed by a trip to Target. You don't realize it until you have to do it, but getting 2 toddlers dressed and in the car is hard especially when they egg each other on.

We definitely had lots of fun and I look forward to Gray coming to stay again.

Daddy surprised me with a new camera for Christmas and Grace helped me test it out.

Christmas Pictures

Christmas was lots of fun this year. Grace was able to understand Santa enough to realize that she wasn't so interested in a stranger in her house even if he came with the possiblity of presents. After a talk with Daddy and the assurance that he wouldn't come upstairs, Grace was ok with Santa's arrival. Santa must have done a good job because the Christmas tree full of presents was greated with a WOW!!



After we finished opening presents at our house we hopped in the car and headed to Grandma Gail's house for even more presents.





Grace was pretty excited for even more presents when we arrived at Grandma Nancy's house on Friday.



Grace spent a lot of time playing "her room".
