Animal Kingdom has its early Magic Hour on Monday so we grabbed breakfast to go and headed to the park. As we entered the park and headed up the path to Africa I heard Grace saying something about Mexico. She was saying that this place was like Mexico. I think she was talking about XCaret which I totally could see.
Our first stop was Kilimanjaro's Safari. We grabbed some Fast Passes and jumped in the pretty short line. I figured we'd use the Fast Passes for a second ride. Surely Grace would like see the animals and want to ride again... wrong. No interest in riding again.
Waiting in line and ready to go see some animals.
Next we talked along the Pangani Forest Exploration. Grace was excited to find the telescope. She's been into telescopes lately.
I love seeing the gorillas. I think they pose for all cameras. I especially loved watching Daddy and Grace watch the gorillas.
The next thing that we've done every time we've been to Animal Kingdom is go to the Tusker House for breakfast which included their yummy warm cinnamon buns. Sadly the Tusker House changed from a quick service place to a real restaurant with a character breakfast. We tried to get a reservation, but a month before we left it was already booked. Next to the restaurant there was a place that you could get cinnamon buns so Daddy hopped in the line while Grace and Mommy wandered off. We went into a store with a big pile of drums. Grace loved playing all the different instruments and was in there for a while.
After our sadly not warm and gooey sticky buns, Grace was drafted to play in a band.
It was fun until the lady pulled her away from us over near the band. Grace wasn't so sure about what was going on.
After the song was over the Lady passed out certificates to each of the kids that played in the band. Grace apparently experienced a "Certifiable Magical Moment".

Next stop was Expedition Everest. We checked out the Monkeys on the way. Daddy likes monkeys.
The line was to long for Everest so we grabbed Fast Passes and went to check out Dinoland USA. When we got there Goofy and Pluto were there. We jumped in line to meet them. Grace was not so impressed to meet them.
I never really paid attention to the fact that there is a huge play area in Dinoland. Grace loved it. She wouldn't go down the slides (I think she's afraid of tube slides), but she loved climbing all the way up to them, and across the net bridges. It took her a while to find The Boneyard (a giant sand box). I left her and Daddy to play while I went and rode Everest.
I must admit it was no fun to ride Everest alone, but it was a pretty good coaster. I went back to the Boneyard and got Daddy and Grace so Daddy could take his turn on Everest. On the way back over we were talking about riding on the "Mountain" and Grace asked where we get the sleds.
With Everest off the checklist, we grab lunch. Daddy is kind of partial to the Flame Tree Barbecue, so we ate there. Grace had chicken on a stick (better known as a drumstick). After lunch I could tell that Grace was done so we headed back to the hotel for a nap. When Grace got up from her nap we put our bathing suits on and went for a swim.
After a good nap and a swim Grace was more her normal happy self. For dinner we went to the Coral Reef in Epcot. On the way to the restaurant, we saw Donald through the windows of one of the buildings. Unfortunately, there was a line so we couldn't get a picture with him right then, but Daddy promised Grace that he would make sure we saw Donald before we went home. Grace got a little silly with the characters from Finding Nemo. She wanted her picture taken with each one.
Dinner was yummy.
We rode the new Nemo ride in the Living Seas after dinner and Grace was pretty brave. I don't think she cried, but definitely wasn't interested in riding again. The Seas was pretty empty so we let Grace run around like a crazy person. I think she liked that more than seeing the fish.
