We were in the gate a little after nine and saw a few characters. We tried to get into the line for Donald, but it was "closed". Missed Donald again. Next, we checked out the line for the new attraction Toy Store Mania. At 9:15 the line was already 25 minutes long and the the Fast Passes were for after 11. We grabbed a pair of Fast Passes and got in line to wait for the Playhouse Disney Live show.
Grace absolutely loved the Playhouse Disney show. It had all the characters from her three favorite shows, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, and Little Einsteins. The show is very well done. The characters look just like the cartoons instead of like big giant characters that you would see in the park.
Next we decided to give Muppet Vision 3D a try. I forgot to mention that in Animal Kingdom we tried It's Tough to Be a Bug and had to walk out after about 2 minutes of the show. With that in mind I didn't have high hopes for the Muppets. We did make to the end of the show, but not with out a few little cries. I think if it hadn't had that cartoon guy (Waldo) it would have been ok. I think he scared her a little. But we made it through the entire show.
We let Grace run around a little in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground while we waited for our Fast Pass time. I felt a little guilty as I grabbed the 3D glasses for Toy Story Mania, Grace chose not to wear them and didn't seem to mind the ride. For the record Toy Store Mania ROCKS! It is the same basic idea as Buzz Lightyear in the Magic Kingdom and Men in Black at Universal, but way better.
Lunch was the turning point with the characters. By this point Grace was completely into getting the characters autographs and was warming up to the idea of having them touch her. Lunch was a buffet at Hollywood and Vine with Jojo, Goliath, Leo and June. The buffet was excellent and lots of fun.
Grace enjoys pushing her stroller.
Back over by Playhouse Disney Live you can find more of the Playhouse Disney characters. Grace has been into Handy Mandy so we jumped at the chance to meet him. He started his signature in Grace's book by drawing the hearts from her shirt. I thought that was sweet.
After a good nap at the hotel we were back at MGM for more playing and dinner. Neil and Grace headed off the to playground while I went and shopped. Sadly the playground was closed so they headed back to meet me. On the way, Grace noticed Annie from Little Einsteins and decided she wanted to go see her. Daddy called me and I made it just in time to snap some pictures.
At least three of us are smiling.
We had dinner at the 50's Prime Time Cafe and although it was tasty, it wasn't nearly as fun as the day before our wedding with everybody. Nobody was made to sing "I'm a Little Teapot." However, I think too many people were eating all their green beans because Daddy got collard greens with his dinner. He managed to eat them all, though (barely).
After dinner Grace as pretty wired so Neil went to check the line for Toy Story. There was no line at all, but sadly it was because the park was closed. Bummer.
